SUMMARY:Relay For Life of Anderson Township
DESCRIPTION:Each year the American Cancer Society holds our signature event\, Relay For Life\, in communities all across the country. This event is an opportunity where everyone can participate in the fight against cancer. Corporate employees\, friends\, church groups\, students\, and neighbors join together in teams and take turns walking or running on a track throughout this overnight event. This event is not a race\; participants may casually walk or run at whatever pace they are comfortable. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event because cancer never sleeps\, so neither do we! Relay teams of 8-15 people of all ages camp out on the surrounding grounds and enjoy music\, dancing\, games\, and onsite fundraising throughout the night. We also take time to celebrate survivors\, remember loved ones lost\, and advocate for more cancer prevention measures through three powerful signature ceremonies. The Relay creates a unique sense of a community of people fighting for a common cause   to cure cancer! \n\n\n\nHOW CAN YOU HELP?\n\n\n\nOur Relay for Life takes place at the Anderson High School Stadium beginning on Friday\, May 9th at 6:00 PM\, and ending on Saturday May 10th at 12:00 PM. This is our 15th year doing this event in the community\, and we would love for you to be involved! Sponsorship opportunities are available at all levels. Contact Kaitlyn Wessels\, 888-227-6446\, ext 4223 for more details on co-branding and partnership opportunities. \n\n\n\nYou might also consider having a team at the event! Company teams are a great opportunity for team-building among employees and can also give the company additional exposure at the event. Of course\, all are welcome to assemble their own teams of family and friends\, as well. Anyone can be a Team Captain\, and we work with each team leading up to the event to ensure you have everything you need!
