DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday June 28 from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 11:30 a.m. and get "The Inside Track" on racing at Belterra Park.\n\n\n\nIt will be held in the west seating area of the grandstand. We are offering free live racing programs for the first 50 guests in attendance and complimentary coffee and pastries. In case of inclement weather the River Downs Club will serve as the alternative area.\n\n\n\nHosted by John Engelhardt "Racing's Regular Guy" and host of weekly national radio show "Winningponies." We will start with a brief history and layout of the track. At that time of the morning horses will still be in training\, so we will explain "A Day in the Life" of a thoroughbred racehorse\, brief history of the breed and how racing has evolved in North America.\n\n\n\nOur guest speaker will be the top percentage trainer at Belterra Park   Jeff Greenhill. Jeff has trained an Ohio State Champion\, Indiana Horse of the Year a horse who won a race while making his 100th start and a former claimer that eventually went on to establish two track records. Jeff has established many successful racing partnerships and will answer questions after his presentation.\n\n\n\nFollowing Jeff\, odds-maker Ed Meyer will join John in explaining how to read a program\, types of bets\, how odds are determined\, payoffs etc. They then will give out their best bets of the day. The seminar is free and open to fans of all ages.
