Nagel Go Offline Day
The Nagel Middle School character education program is intended to provide a school environment that focuses on acceptance, morals, and ethical decisions. On December 4, 2015, 8th graders will have the opportunity to take part in “Go Offline Day,” which places students in groups called families. In these families, students will discuss real life issues and participate in numerous activities that promote integrity, compassion, empathy, and acceptance by learning more about themselves and their peers. The day’s purpose is to support the 40 developmental assets that are being introduced in the student’s advisory each day.
A great opportunity for Chamber Members!!
Community volunteers are needed to help lead “families” on this day! Families consist of 10 students and one adult leader to share personal information by answering many discussion questions. Leaders and students will also be encouraged to share more about themselves by answering, “If you really knew me…” If you are interested in helping to build character traits in students, we would love to have you!
The commitment would be from 9:30-2:00 on Friday, December 4th. Please contact Carolyn Heller at carolynheller@foresthills.edu or 513-474-5407 ex.2211 if you are interested in this great opportunity!!
