PRELIMINARY ROUNDS
Cheers to community spirit, local business, and Anderson's First Annual Oktoberfest coming Saturday, September 6, 2025:
a lively atmosphere with music, delicious local eats, craft beer from regional breweries, and
a variety of family-friendly activities including wiener dog races and German-style games, including a Stein Hoisting Championship.
To celebrate, the Chamber is hosting a Stein Hoisting competition series!
Register for one or more of the friendly competitions below and
you just might be on your way to the Oktoberfest Stein Hoisting Championship.
$15 entry fee includes a commemorative mug, a free beer (or fountain drink),
community spirit and a chance at glory.

π CONTEST OVERVIEW
Each contestant will compete to see who can hold a full stein of water straight out in front of them the longest without bending their arm or spilling.
The winner from each host location will qualify to represent that location at the Raise Your Stein Finals during Anderson’s Oktoberfest.
πͺ CONTESTANT RULES

Must Be 21+ to compete.

One Arm Only: You must hold the stein with one arm, extended straight out in front of you (shoulder-height), parallel to the ground.

No Bending: Your elbow must stay fully extended throughout the competition.

No Spilling: If you spill, you're out!

No Support: You may not use your body, clothing, or another person to support your arm or the stein.

Standard Steins: Standard steins will be provided (thanks Wandering Monsters!) for use at all locations.

Last Person Holding Wins: The competition ends when only one person remains with proper form. Judges’ decisions are final.
π WINNER EXPECTATIONS

Winners will receive a gift card and an establishment t-shirt to wear at the finals.

Winners must be available to compete in the finals on Saturday, September 6th at 2:30pm during Oktoberfest at Beech Acres Park.

Winners are encouraged to help promote the event and represent their host location with pride!
