2016 Memorial Day Bell Ringing Ceremony

The annual remembrance of fallen veterans, the Memorial Day Bell Ringing Ceremony, is set for 11:45 a.m. Monday, May 30 at Anderson Center. This ceremony is organized by the Anderson Township Veterans Memorial Committee.
Included in the solemn remembrance of veterans is the reading of names of deceased members of the armed forces. Sign in by 11:45 a.m. if you wish to have your loved one’s name read during the ceremony. The ceremony starts at noon.
The event includes the release of a remembrance wreath from the weir on Anderson Lake and a three-volley rifle salute over the lake, with “Taps” echoed from the overlook. The event will be hosted rain or shine.
