Based on the presenter’s 30-years of experience in writing requirements, this 1-hour webinar presents the problem of writing effective requirements and why it is important for you (whether or not you are involved in an IT project). He also discusses how the techniques presented in the interactive, “intellimated” video course “Writing Better Requirements in Plain English” address the problem.
Excerpts from the video course demonstrate “intellimated” content and how it supports modern instructional design theory for adult learning based on the 70-20-10 model. You will also have a chance to observe a somewhat different approach to “exercises” in the form of the interactions the course uses to enhance retention.
Mr. Hathaway has over 30 years as a practitioner including 18 as an instructor in the business analysis and information technology field. He has developed and deployed several business system development and testing methodologies for organizations in the US, Canada and Europe.
Recent accomplishments:- Created and maintained a business analysis blog and YouTube channel that provides free “KnowledgeKnuggets™” for “Anyone Wearing the BA Hat”
- Wrote and published Business Analysis eBooks (available on Amazon.com) and video courseware (available on Coggno.com)
- Developed and conducted customized training seminars for advanced business analysis, testing, and Requirements Discovery Workshop facilitation
- Worked with a Fortune 500 company on the world-wide deployment of a system development methodology
- Developed a worldwide marketing communications strategy with implementation plans and business requirements encompassing all direct and indirect communication with international sales partners
